USHV has a full-time opening for a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join Tucson’s largest group of private-practicing cardiovascular physicians, Pima Heart & Vascular.

Serving the community for 40 years, PIMA Heart and Vascular is the largest independent cardiovascular practice in Arizona and one of the largest independent practices in the country, known for comprehensive cardiovascular services, high-quality outcomes and strong operational capabilities. Our board-certified and board-eligible physicians specialize in internal medicine, general, interventional, and structural cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery.

• The Cardiology ACNP will work independently under the general supervision of the primary supervising physician, and all physician partners to delivery competent medical care to an age specific population including adults and geriatric patients primarily outpatient clinic with PIMA as well as back up for inpatients as needed at Tucson Medical Center. This position will complete admission workups and consultations, function as the on-site liason to directly receive phone calls from staff and provide orders for routine and urgent medical care needs, transfer or discharge as appropriate and communicate directly with the physician.
• The Nurse Practitioner will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the Arizona Board of Nursing, the Arizona Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of PIMA. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of PIMA and USHV.

Experience Requirements:

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Cardiology Experience preferred
• New Grads with Cardiology Experience as RN are encouraged to apply
• NP Board Certification and Experience
• Active AZ license or willing to apply
