US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Tucson, AZ.

Pima Heart and Vascular has an amazing opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner; to work with a Non-Invasive Cardiologist. This is a chance to work with the largest private cardiology practice in AZ. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Cardiologist as well as independently.

Candidates must have:

• Two years of experience working as experienced out-patient/inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
• Although this position is both outpatient and inpatient; the majority of the time will be INPATIENT, so we are looking for candidates with strong inpatient experience.
• Master’s degree in nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active AZ license or willing to apply.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Skills:

• General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
• Cardiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to function independently
• Can demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic cardiovascular technology, i.e. EKG, patient assessment and management of care, etc.

Experience:

• Cardiology NP Outpatient: 1 year (Preferred)
• Inpatient: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cardiovascular patient assessment: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• DEA Certification
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• AZ license or willing to apply

Job Type: Full Time

Monday – Friday with some weekend call (9-10 weekends per year)
