Position Details
Pima Heart and Vascular has an amazing opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner, to work with an Electrophysiologist whose practice consists of 2/3 EP and 1/3 Cardiology. This is a chance to work with the largest private cardiology practice in AZ. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Electrophysiologist as well as independently. An electrophysiology nurse practitioner—a specialty in cardiology nursing—assists and educates patients undergoing an electrophysiology study procedure of the heart. An electrophysiology study of the heart involves a nonsurgical procedure to obtain information about the heart’s electrical activity.
Candidates must have:
-· Two years of experience working as experienced out-patient/inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
– Although this position is both outpatient and inpatient; the majority of the time will be OUTPATIENT, so we are looking for candidates with strong outpatient experience.
- Master’s degree in Nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active AZ license or willing to apply.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills:
- General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
- Electrophysiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to function independently
-Can demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic cardiovascular technology, i.e. EKG, patient assessment and management of care, etc.
